BISP Beneficiary Families in Pakistan Cross 10 Million

Senator Rubina Khalid revealed that when she took office, the number of registered families was around 9.3 million. She also admitted that staff shortage is a major issue as there have been no new recruitments since 2012, and more than half of the current workforce is on deputation.

The BISP Chairperson criticized previous governments for harmful policies that caused genuine beneficiaries to be unfairly removed from the program. For example:
